A | Salman Khan offered a rare glimpse into his personal life during a conversation at the Red Sea Film Festival. This revelation has brought to light the fact that his superstardom does not deter his routine from remaining extraordinarily simple. Some can even call this routine restrictive. The actor shared that he has not stepped out for a casual dinner in nearly 25 years, describing his life as one spent largely between home, set, airport and hotel. His candid confession quickly sparked conversation online, shedding light on the unseen discipline and solitude that is behind his decades-long career. Speaking at the festival, Salman admitted that fame brings immense love and respect. He went on to say that it also comes with sacrifices. He reflected on the gradual loss of several close friends over the years, noting that only “four or five” remain from his earlier days. Still, he said he doesn’t regret the life he leads. “Either you choose to go out and wander, or you choose this life. I choose this because of the love and respect people give me,” he said. He also added that he occasionally drifts into phases of complacency but accepts them as part of the journey, always looking forward to what’s coming next. This appearance marked Salman’s second outing at the Red Sea Film Festival this year, where he also crossed paths with Hollywood icon Johnny Depp. A day earlier, he attended a Golden Globes gala dinner hosted at the festival. Several photos showing him alongside Idris Elba, Edgar Ramírez and several international guests were circulated online. On the work front, Salman was last seen in Sikandar, followed by a cameo in Aryan Khan’s debut web series The Ba*ds of Bollywood. He also returned as host of Bigg Boss 19. His next major project, Battle of Galwan, will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film will reportedly trace the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese troops in Ladakh. He is joined by Chitrangda Singh in this war drama. The war that led to Algeria’s independence was launched on All Saints Day in 1954, although there had always been resistance movements fighting for freedom. The call for revolution came just months after the humiliating defeat of the French Foreign Legion at the Battle of Dien Bien Phu that spelled the end of French rule in Vietnam and Laos.,However, the Algerian war was more personal for the French, as Algeria was a French department, not formally a colony, and was home to more than a million pieds noirs, or French settlers, who formed a separate caste of Algerian society above the Arabs and Imazighen.,© Algerian Ministry of National Defense/Handout via XinhuaArmored vehicles are driven during a military parade to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Algeria's independence in Algiers, capital of Algeria, on July 5, 2022. The formal French troops were complemented by irregular gangs of pieds noirs, who waged their own terror campaign against Arab towns. As the war raged on, desperate French military officers overthrew the government in Paris and abolished the Fourth Republic, creating a new constitution with a stronger executive and putting World War 2 military hero Charles de Gaulle in charge of it.,Still, French rule was not to last. The Algerian revolutionaries linked up with other peoples colonized by France across Africa, forming a network that jointly resisted French rule. Last year, French President Emmanuel Macron said there would be "no repentance nor apologies" for French rule in Algeria, but that he would support a “memories and truth” commission to “take a lucid look at the wounds of the past” and find a path to reconciliation.,Macron has made similar half-gestures toward reconciliation with other African nations, such as Rwanda, which was not a French colony but in which France was strongly involved in 1994, when the genocide of Tutsis and Twa by the Hutu Power government began.。
